Dr. David Brey

Office Location: Owensboro, KY

David Brey, MD received his Bachelor of Science degree from Western Kentucky University in 1999. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2003 and subsequently completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Louisville Affiliated Hospitals in 2006. Dr. Brey served as Chief Medical Resident from 2006-2007 within the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Louisville before completing his Rheumatology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2009. He previously worked for thirteen years for a hospital-based practice where he received the President’s Award for his dedication to service and quality of care for his patients. Dr. Brey is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He is married to his high school sweetheart and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, attending sporting events, and playing pickleball.

Dr. Lucia Hardi

Office Location: Lexington, KY

Lucia Hardi, MD completed her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Centre College, Danville, KY. She pursued a Master’s degree in microbiology, immunology, and molecular biology from the University of Kentucky. She completed her medical school, internal medicine residency, and rheumatology fellowship at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She’s certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.

She likes to spend time with her family, cooking, exercising, and engaging in activities that nourish the mind, body, and soul.

Dr. Jonathan Hendrie

Office Location: Bowling Green, KY

Dr. Hendrie completed his degree in biochemistry and biophysics at Western Kentucky University. After graduation, he spent a year in Germany working in research as part of the U.S. Fulbright program. He then completed his medical degree at the University of Kentucky, followed by an internal medicine residency at Prisma Health Upstate in South Carolina and his fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Kentucky.

He is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology, the Coalition for State Rheumatology Organizations, and the Kentucky Rheumatology Alliance. In his free time, Dr. Hendrie enjoys being involved in his church, traveling internationally, following Detroit sports, reading fantasy series, and exploring all things food.

Dr. Theodore Korty

Office Location: Evansville, IN

Theodore Korty received his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in 2011. He graduated from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, Harrogate, Tennessee in 2015. He completed his internal medicine residency at Corpus Christi Medical Center, Corpus Christi, Texas in 2018. He completed his rheumatology fellowship at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson, Florida in 2020. Dr. Korty is board certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology, and he is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.

He enjoys reading & traveling with his wife and daughter.

Dr. Scott Lewis

Available at all Lake Cumberland Rheumatology office locations!

Dr. Lewis completed his undergraduate degree at Marshall University before going on to obtain his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and completed his Rheumatology Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 2009. Dr. Lewis then joined the Mississippi Arthritis Clinic while his wife completed her training in Jackson, MS.

Since 2011, he has lived in Somerset, Kentucky with his wife and three kids and has helped LC Rheumatology expand to four locations in two states. He has been board certified in Rheumatology since 2009.

Dr. Timothy Lonesky, MD at LC Rheumatology

Dr. Tim Lonesky

Dr. Timothy Lonesky graduated medical school in 2004 from the Philadelphia College of Ostepathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center at Mercy Hospital and fellowship in Rheumatology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Dr. Lonesky is board certified in Rheumatology and is the founder of LC Rheumatology in 2009. He has been the President of the Kentucky-Indiana Rheumatology Alliance since 2011. In his spare time, Dr. Lonesky enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Charles Moore

Office Location: New Albany, IN

Dr. Moore attended medical school and completed residency training at the University of Louisville. For several years he served as a hospitalist in Evansville IN before completing subspecialty training in rheumatology at Vanderbilt University.

Prior to joining LC Rheumatology, he was on staff in the rheumatology division at the University of Louisville and with Norton Healthcare. When not working he enjoys running and playing piano.

Dr. Roneka Ravenell

Office Location: New Albany, IN

Roneka L. Ravenell, MD, FACR received her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Duke University. She earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and then completed an Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Dr. Ravenell received her board certification in Internal Medicine and is board certified in Rheumatology. She is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. She has served in multiple capacities within the college, including volunteer positions on several committees including the Committee on Training and Workforce and the ACR Subcommittee on Diversity and Inclusion. She is currently a member of the ACR Convergence Annual Meeting Planning Committee. Dr. Ravenell is a member of both the Indiana State Medical Association and Kentuckiana Rheumatology Alliance. She has served on the board of the local Arthritis Foundation chapter.

Prior to joining Lake Cumberland Rheumatology in 2019, Dr. Ravenell served on faculty at Penn State University, the University of Utah and the University of Louisville along with affiliated VA Medical centers. She has presented numerous times at local, regional, and national conferences. Dr. Ravenell has co-authored several publications featured in academic journals and written book chapters. She continues to mentor and teach residents at local academic institutions. She has a special interest in systemic lupus, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis and geriatrics.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Ravenell enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, attending sporting and theatrical events.

Melissa Cheng APRN, FNP-C

Office Location: Somerset, KY

Melissa is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Murray State University and her Master’s Degrees in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University. She has prior nursing experience in family practice, urgent care, and internal medicine. She is married with three children. Melissa enjoys spending her free time traveling, cooking, and being with friends and family.

Sarah Estes, APRN, FNP-C

Office Location: Owensboro, KY

Sarah Estes began her nursing career in 2002. She completed her MSN at University of Southern Indiana in 2016 and has worked primarily in Rheumatology since starting her career. Prior to her nurse practitioner training she worked in multiple areas such as Corrections, Mother Baby, Neurology, and Renal with experience in dialysis. Sarah is married to James who is a maintenance mechanic and together they have raised 7 children. She and her family enjoy going to flea markets, hanging out together swimming and barbecuing in the summer.

Sarah is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of American Nurse Association and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is on the Board of Directors for Lighthouse Recovery Services Inc.

Amanda Evans, NP at Lake Cumberland Rheumatology

Amanda Evans, APRN, FNP-C

Office Location: London, KY

Amanda has been working as a nurse for over twenty years. She completed her graduate training as a family nurse practitioner at Vanderbilt University. She has a background in pediatric intensive care, outpatient surgery, and adult primary care/gynecology. She’s the mother of a son and daughter. She loves to spend time outdoors gardening, hiking, and paddling. She is an avid reader and loves to cook and share healthy recipes with their patients. Amanda is also a patient at LCR as she suffers with psoriatic arthritis herself. She aims to offer realistic advice to her clients and help them overcome their illnesses to live full, happy lives.

Bridget Evans, APRN, FNP-C

Office Location: Owensboro, KY

Bridget is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Indiana and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Ky University. She has been working as a nurse for 20 years with a variety of experience. Her background has been in med-surg nursing and clinical education, both inpatient and outpatient. She has spent the last 7 years in family practice in a rural clinic. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Ky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners & Nurse-Midwives.

Bridget is married to her husband Matt, and they have five children. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

Megan Fackler, APRN, FNP-C

Office Location: Somerset, KY

Megan Fackler is a board-certified nurse practitioner with over a decade of experience in emergency medicine, family practice, aesthetics, rural healthcare, and rheumatology. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and her master’s from Western Kentucky University. A registered nurse since 2010 and an NP since 2014, she has been with Lake Cumberland Rheumatology since 2019.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and three children, traveling, and staying active in her church. She has a passion for holistic medicine and lifelong learning.

Amelia Hendrickson, APRN, FNP-C

Office Location: Lexington, KY

Amelia Hendrickson began her nursing career in 2000. She received her AASN from Southeast Community College, her BSN from Eastern Kentucky University, her MSN from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, and her Post-Master’s certificate from South University. She is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner and the National Certification Corporation as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She has a nursing background in labor & delivery, adult ICU, OB/GYN, and primary care. She practiced for approximately 9 years as a rheumatology nurse practitioner in Lexington, KY before joining LCR. Amelia is married to her high school sweetheart, Stephen. They live in Madison County with their 2 children. She enjoys traveling, hiking, gardening, and spending time with her family. She is also a rheumatology patient. Her goal is to provide realistic, comprehensive, and compassionate patient-centered care.

Tracy Hutchinson, APRN, FNP-C

Office Location: London, KY

Tracy Hutchinson began her nursing career in 2008. She received her bachelor’s degree at Lincoln Memorial University. She completed her mSN at the University of the Cumberlands and is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has a nursing background in hematology/oncology and pain management. She is married with 1 daughter. She loves to read, cook, and spend time with family and friends in her spare time. She is also a rheumatology patient herself with psoriatic arthritis and aims to provide a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to care.

Natalie Lane, APRN, FNP-C

Natalie is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Board as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Indiana Wesleyan University. She is a member of the Rheumatology Nurses Society and the American College of Rheumatology.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, spending time outdoors, and being involved with her church.

In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and attending concerts and sporting events.

Dana Mann is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a family nurse practitioner specializing in Rheumatology. She completed her Masters of Science in Nursing degree at Indiana Wesleyan University. She has worked in Rheumatology for 8 years and is a member of the Rheumatology Nurses Society. She has prior nursing experience of 14 years in pediatrics.

In her spare time, Dana loves spending time with her husband & two sons, playing with her dogs, being outside, & working out at her local Crossfit gym.

Amanda Orr, NP

Amanda Orr began her nursing career in 2000 and has been a family nurse practitioner since 2008. She completed her MSN at the University of Southern Indiana and her DNP at Indiana University. She is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has spent her entire career in the Evansville area and has previous experience as a nurse practitioner in family medicine and emergency medicine with nursing experience in orthopedics.

She is married with two kids and enjoys watching her kids in their activities, traveling, and scrapbooking.

Marguerite “Maggie” Root, APRN

Office Location: Somerset, KY

Maggie Root is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Kentucky and then earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Vanderbilt University. She has worked as a nurse for over 15 years in various specialties including pediatrics, outpatient surgery, and primary care. She also has experience treating patients with substance use disorders. Maggie is an LCR patient herself and has seen firsthand how the treatment of rheumatologic conditions can significantly improve a patient’s quality of life.

Maggie is married with two children. She enjoys raising chickens and goats, gardening, baking, and listening to true crime podcasts.

Natasha Smith, APRN, FNP-C

Office Location: Somerset, KY

Natasha is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Indiana Wesleyan University and a Master’s of Science in Nursing at Walden University. Natasha is a member of the Rheumatology Nurses Society and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her previous nursing experience includes inpatient critical care and cardiac/cardiovascular care. Natasha sees patients in the Somerset office.

She is married and has two children. Natasha enjoys reading books and listening to podcast/videos about rheumatology and aesthetics. In her free time she likes gardening, anything outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

Whitney Whitaker, PA

Office Location: Lexington, KY

Whitney Whitaker PA-C is board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville TN in 2017. She then received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate TN in 2019. She has been practicing in Rheumatology since she graduated. She met her husband in PA school, and they just had their first daughter in August 2024. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, spending time outdoors, and traveling.

LC Rheumatology started in 2009 with a mission to provide much-needed care to patients suffering from rheumatologic and auto-immune disorders in Central Kentucky. While our mission hasn’t changed, we’ve expanded to now treat patients across the entire state of Kentucky and Southern Indiana. In addition to adding new locations, we’ve added Infusion, X-Ray, Research, and Pharmacy services to better serve our patients.
