Medical Billing Office Representative – New Albany, IN

The Medical Billing Representative is responsible for various billing duties related to a medical office.

Duties and responsibilities include:

1. Posts payments and adjustments exceptions from an electronic file, and ensures each batch is balanced daily

2. Posts online payments and credit cards payments

3. Generate statements weekly

4. Reviews Explanation of Benefits to assure proper payment and adjustment has been received

5. Reviews Explanation of Benefits and notifies Manager of potential problems

6. Respond to inquiries concerning account balances, third party payments, etc. from patients, relatives and/or third-party payers in a timely manner.

7. Responsible for all refunds, patient refunds and insurance refunds

8. Answer billing calls

9. Consistently acts as a customer service representative for the organization

10. Performs other duties as assigned
