APRN or PA
The Advanced Practice Provider will direct and evaluate care to Lake Cumberland Rheumatology (LCR) patients. The APP follows established protocols and collaborates with physicians, however, does have day-to-day independence in health care decisions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates commitment to the quality philosophy and values of LCR by maintaining established policies and procedures, organizational objectives, process improvement, and safety standards.
- Demonstrates the LCR Code of Conduct standards in all interpersonal relations.
- Oversees clinical assessment of patients, ordering diagnostics and administering physical exam, to determine condition.
- Refers patients to physicians as needed.
- Oversees medical therapeutics and treatment of patients; prescribes medication, follow-up and additional diagnostics as needed.
- Educates patients about their conditions and ailments and makes recommendations and follow-up concerning behavior changes to improve health.
- Assures that adequate records are maintained; periodically reviews patient records in collaboration with their collaborating physician.
- Exhibits empathy, insight, understanding, compassion, and cooperation.
Infusionist (MA or LPN)
The Infusionist will care for patients with the need for Infusion therapy. Works closely with the leadership team to provide appropriate medical care, education, and support for LCR’s patients and their families.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates commitment to the quality philosophy and values of LCR by maintaining established policies and procedures; organizational objectives; continuous quality improvement; quality assessment and safety standards.
- Understands and demonstrates courtesy in all interpersonal relations.
- Maintains appropriate documentation.
- Greets patients and visitors in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines and confidentiality policies.
- Mixes and administers infusion medications as ordered by the doctor.
- Starts and maintains peripheral lines.
- Draws labs.
- Communicates with patients, patient’s families, and other member’s of the medical team.
- Triages patients concerns and complaints over the phone.
- Educates patients receiving Infusion treatments.
- Identifies, assesses and discusses problems through patient assessment and interactions; evaluates actual or potential patient health problems and alerts the provider.
